Peterson traces its roots back to 1801, when Momme Peterson opened a general store in Moss, Norway. A few decades later, the company invested in paper machines. And it wasn’t until the sixth generation descendants of Momme Peterson made major acquisitions and company setups that the building of a modern, fully integrated packaging group was finally achieved.
In 2006, Peterson became a true Scandinavian supplier after the integration of packaging plants in Sweden and Denmark.
Today, Peterson is an independent business unit co-owned by VPK Packaging Group and Klingele, two family-held packaging companies that share a proven track record and a long term company vision. An extensive investment plan marked a new start for the company and the ambitions are high as Peterson is stepping up in several areas.
At Peterson, we look to the future. And prepare with innovations and by implementing processes that ensure long-term sustainability. At Peterson, we are more than ready for the future.
